Childhood and Early Life

Akanksha’s birthplace is Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and not much information is available about her family other than that her father R. K. Puri is a retired police commissioner and her mother Chitra Puri is an astrologer by profession.

Akanksha Puri completed her schooling and graduation from Bhopal but there is no information about the name of school and college. After studies, she joined an International flight company and started working as an air hostess.

Later on, Akanksha started modeling and then she was offered a Tamil movie “Alex Pandian” in the year 2013. After that she was seen in many Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada movies. She made her Bollywood debut with “Calender Girls” in 2015 which was directed by renowned director Madhur Bhandarkar.

Akanksha has been quite vocal in supporting her boyfriend Paras Chhabra but she was left in a defensive mode when Paras questioned another contestant Shefali Zariwala’s character as she was getting friendly with a male contestant, Asim Riaz.

Akanksha was very upset when Asim Riaz called Paras bald. She asked that if body-shaming a girl is wrong, then how it is correct to body-shame a boy.

Akanksha also said that Paras flirting with other girls inside the Bigg Boss house is fine with her as it is his game plan. But she made headlines when she said that Paras should not cross the limits as it is he who is under the range of cameras while no camera is on her.
