Renowned director and actor Tigmanshu Dhulia, whose film “Paan Singh Tomar” earned a National Film Award, has named Kangana Ranaut as the greatest actress in the history of Bollywood. Dhulia described the “Queen” actress’s screen presence as “magical,” placing her at the top of the industry’s talent pool.

In a comparison to veteran actress Waheeda Rehman, Dhulia stated that while Rehman was a great talent, Ranaut is ahead of her when considering the sheer variety of roles she has tackled throughout her career. This high praise follows similar sentiments from Waheeda Rehman herself, who applauded Ranaut’s performance and direction in “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi,” noting both her skill and her appearance in the film.
A Record of Success

While Dhulia and Ranaut were previously expected to collaborate on a biopic of Meena Kumari, the project was ultimately shelved due to issues regarding rights and budget. However, Ranaut remains active with several high-profile projects.
The actress is currently preparing for the release of “Panga,” directed by Ashwiny Tiwari Iyer, which is set to hit theaters on January 24, 2020. Following that, she will begin work on a biopic of the late politician Jayalalithaa, a role for which she has been practicing Bharatnatyam.
