Hyundai’s leading midsize SUV, the Creta, is preparing to enter the electric vehicle (EV) market this January. Ahead of its official launch at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi, Hyundai has unveiled detailed specifications for the Creta EV. The company has also revealed the battery options for the upcoming electric SUV.

Battery Specifications and Charging Options:
Hyundai has officially confirmed that the Creta EV will be available in two battery variants: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. The electric SUV will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. The entry-level version is expected to offer an ARAI-rated range of 390 km. According to Hyundai, the Creta EV can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes using DC fast charging. An 11 kW AC home charger will fully charge the vehicle from 10% to 100% in 4 hours.

Exterior Design:
Hyundai has maintained the design of the Creta ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) model for the Creta EV. The front features connected L-shaped LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), vertical stacked twin LED headlights, and an active air intake in the front bumper to regulate the temperature of the vehicle’s components. The charging port is integrated into the front grille behind the Hyundai logo.

The Creta EV will also feature newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels, specifically crafted for the electric variant. At the rear, the SUV will showcase the same connected LED taillights, but with a new pixelated design for the bumper.
