PM Modi Says “No Goal Impossible If Centre & States Work Like Team India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public function on Saturday, emphasized the power of cooperative federalism, stating that “no goal is impossible if the Union government and State governments work together like Team India.” His remarks come amid ongoing discussions around centre-state relations and developmental cooperation.

PM Modi’s Vision of “Team India”

PM Modi reiterated that the combined efforts of the Centre and States are crucial to achieving national goals in sectors such as:

  • Infrastructure development

  • Healthcare and education reforms

  • Skilling and employment generation

  • Digital governance and rural empowerment

“When States and Centre collaborate as one team, the progress of the nation is not just accelerated — it becomes unstoppable,” PM Modi asserted.

The Prime Minister highlighted several instances where the Centre-State coordination has delivered results, including:

  • Gati Shakti Yojana for infrastructure alignment

  • Digital Health Mission supported by multiple states

  • Joint execution of Jal Jeevan Mission

  • Collaborative pandemic response during Covid-19

Strengthening Centre-State Relations

PM Modi said the NITI Aayog and the Inter-State Council are platforms where healthy dialogue between the Union and State governments helps resolve differences and promote joint action plans.

He urged states to actively participate in policy formulation and implementation to ensure local needs are reflected in national schemes.

 A Global Aspiration

Citing India’s ambition to become a developed nation by 2047, Modi said that such goals can’t be achieved by the Union government alone. It requires the spirit of federal cooperation, or what he called “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”
