Gandhinagar, GIFT City:
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the ambitious Gujarat Global Capability Center (GCC) Policy 2025-30 at GIFT City, Gandhinagar. Spearheaded by the Department of Science and Technology, this initiative aims to position Gujarat as a global hub for high-value jobs, innovation, and digital transformation.

Key Objectives and Benefits

  • Creation of 50,000 New Jobs and Significant Investments:
    The policy targets the establishment of at least 250 GCC units, with projected investments exceeding ₹10,000 crore.

  • Financial Support:

    • CAPEX assistance of up to ₹200 crore for major units.
    • OPEX assistance of up to ₹40 crore to support operational expenses.
  • Employment Boost:

    • Incentives of up to ₹60,000 per new local hire retained for at least a year.
    • Employer EPF reimbursement of up to 100% for women employees and 75% for men.

Empowering Local Talent

The policy focuses on skill development, reimbursing up to 75% of course fees for students and 50% for working professionals.

Incentives for Sustainability and Quality

Eligible units can avail up to 80% support for quality certification fees and enjoy refunds on electricity duties.

Principal Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, Smt. Mona Khandhar, highlighted the transformative goals of the GCC Policy, emphasizing Gujarat’s growing potential in digital innovation and global competitiveness.

The launch marks a significant step toward making Gujarat a preferred destination for global capability centers and technological innovation.
