Citroën Launches Dark Editions of Basalt, Aircross, and C3 in India: Bold All-Black Styling, Prices Start at ₹8.38 Lakh
Citroën India has introduced the Dark Editions of its popular models — Basalt, C3 Aircross, and C3 hatchback — in the Indian market on April 10, 2025. These special editions bring a striking all-black aesthetic to both the interior and exterior, enhancing the visual appeal and road presence of each car.
Bold Design with Enhanced Safety
The standout feature of the Dark Edition models is the all-black design theme, which includes blacked-out alloy wheels, black roof, dark chrome accents, and a blacked-out cabin with subtle contrast elements. This refreshed look aims to attract younger buyers and enthusiasts who prefer a sportier and more premium appearance.
In terms of safety, all three models are equipped with six airbags as standard, along with other safety features like ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and a high-strength body structure, offering improved protection for passengers.
Based on Top-Spec Variants
Each Dark Edition model is built on the highest variant available in its respective lineup:
-
Citroën Basalt Dark Edition – Based on the Max variant
-
Citroën C3 Aircross Dark Edition – Based on the Max variant
-
Citroën C3 Dark Edition – Based on the Shine variant
These variants come fully loaded with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, smartphone connectivity, automatic climate control, and connected car tech (in select models).
Pricing and Availability
The ex-showroom prices for the Dark Editions start at ₹8.38 lakh and go up to ₹14.27 lakh, depending on the model and configuration. These special editions carry a premium of up to ₹23,000 over their standard counterparts, justified by the exclusive design treatment and added appeal.
Citroën has announced that the Dark Editions will be available in limited numbers, making them a more exclusive offering in the market.
