Ajit Doval Meets Amit Shah After Rajnath Singh’s High-Level Briefing with Defence Chiefs

Following a high-level meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh with the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is now holding a separate meeting with the heads of the CISF and BSF. Intelligence Bureau (IB) Chief Sadanand Date and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval are also in attendance. Later in the afternoon, Rajnath Singh is expected to meet with the DRDO chief for further strategic discussions.

India Responds Firmly to Pakistan After Targeted Strikes on Terror Camps
The developments come in the wake of India’s precision missile strikes on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). These strikes resulted in the destruction of key terror infrastructure. In retaliation, Pakistan launched attacks, unable to withstand India’s direct assault on its terror networks. However, Pakistan’s response fell short. India then escalated with powerful strikes on multiple Pakistani cities, including Lahore, Islamabad, Muradabad, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, and even the Karachi port, causing significant destruction across the country.

Defence Ministry Reviews Situation Amid Regional Tension
In response to these escalating developments, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a critical meeting at South Block. CDS General Anil Chauhan and the chiefs of all three defence wings participated. The discussions focused on the current Indo-Pak security scenario and possible future military strategies. Given the likelihood of further hostilities, several regions in India have been placed on high alert.

In Chandigarh, sirens have been activated and the Air Force has been put on standby. The District Commissioner has issued a public advisory instructing residents to stay indoors and avoid balconies. Mohali has also been placed under heightened alert.

India’s Stand: Our Fight Is Against Terrorism, Not a Country
India’s Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Kwatra, stated:
“We have dismantled nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK. Our fight is not against Pakistan as a nation, but against terrorism. The global community must recognize that Pakistan continues to harbor and support terrorist activities. It’s time the world holds Pakistan accountable and urges it to stop nurturing terrorism.”
