The Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology (FIMT) successfully organized the 5th National Moot Court Competition in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission of India (NHRC). The three-day national event was held from March 12 to March 14, 2026, at the FIMT campus in New Delhi.
The competition witnessed participation from 70 law teams representing universities and law schools from across India. The event aimed to provide law students with practical exposure to courtroom proceedings, legal research, and advocacy skills while arguing cases related to cyber crime and human rights issues.
The competition was organized by the FIMT Moot Court Society, which efficiently managed registrations, courtroom proceedings, and logistics throughout the event. The organizing team was led by Ayush Awasthi (Convenor) and Keshav Shukla (Co-Convenor) along with a dedicated team of student volunteers.
After several rounds of intense legal arguments, Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak emerged as the winner, while Amity University, Lucknow secured the runner-up position.
The event was attended by several distinguished legal experts including Hon’bleMr. Justice R.K. Gauba, former judge of the Delhi High Court, along with senior advocates and legal academicians.
The competition concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the achievements of participants and reinforcing FIMT’s commitment to promoting practical legal education and professional development for law students.
