BJP Wins BMC Elections:
The BJP has registered a major victory in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections and other major urban bodies in the state of Maharashtra on Friday. According to sources in the BJP leadership, CM Devendra Fadnavis has been instrumental in the victory of the BJP in the election.
Fadnavis has been identified as the biggest winner among all political leaders of the state. In Mumbai, the BJP has performed better than at any point in time, shattering their own record of 82 seats won in the BMC election held in 2017. According to BJP sources, this has happened due to meticulous planning at the ward level, which has been strictly monitored by Fadnavis.
They further stated that the Chief Minister has also taken special interest in forming the election strategies for the BJP in the BMC elections.
Interacting with the party workers at the state unit headquarters of the BJP after the win, Fadnavis stated, “The BJP put forward a development agenda in front of the people, and the people reacted to it in a positive manner.”
He further clarified that the BJP has won an unprecedented mandate in most of the municipal corporations, displaying their trust in integrity and development. According to him, this strong public support is the reason why people chose the BJP in the civic elections.
