Starring Prabhas in the title role, The Raja Saab is still doing well in theaters. The horror-comedy movie directed by Maruthi has reportedly raked in close to Rs 125 crore nett in these six days.
According to industry watcher Sacnilk, it earned approximately ₹5.25 crores nett on Day 6 (Wednesday). Talking about its performance, it kicked off with a bang, gathering approximately ₹62.8 crores nett on Day 1, which includes paid previews. During the opening weekend, it added more money to its box-office collection with about ₹45.1 crores nett, though it witnessed a slow start on weekdays. On Monday, it earned around ₹6.6 crores, while on Tuesday, it earned approximately ₹4.8 crores.
Telugu version has been the single largest contributor to the success of the movie, grossing around ₹102.5 crore nett. Hindi version has grossed ₹20.5 crore nett, whereas the contribution from the Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada version stood at ₹1.55 crore nett.
The Raja Saab has a great cast with Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhi Agerwal, Boman Irani, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab in key roles. It is a mix of horror and comedy as it tries to lure family audiences in the festival season.
Meanwhile, other films are also grossing well. Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu has grossed ₹79.85 crore nett in three days domestically. Another film, by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is going ahead with its historic run over ₹813 crore nett in India and ₹1,269 crore globally.
On the whole, Raja Saab has shown that Prabhas continues to enjoy drawing power at the box office, particularly in the Telugu market.
