Q: What are the key upgrades in the OnePlus 13? What can users expect from upcoming products?

A: The year began on an exciting note with the launch of the OnePlus 13 series. The latest flagship smartphone introduces several major upgrades, most notably the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which offers 44% improved power efficiency and 45% better performance compared to the previous generation.

The fifth-generation Hasselblad camera system redefines mobile photography, featuring a triple 50MP camera setup with an advanced Tri-Prism telephoto lens supporting 3x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom.

The primary Sony LYT-808 sensor significantly enhances low-light photography, while the 120-degree ultra-wide lens captures high-quality shots. AI-powered features like AI Unblur, AI Detail Boost, and AI Reflection Eraser enhance the camera experience by producing sharp, detailed, and glare-free images.

The Hasselblad portrait mode includes professional-grade optical filters, delivering studio-quality portraits. The OnePlus 13 also supports India’s 5.5G connectivity, promising up to 380% faster data speeds, lower latency, and improved network performance.

Q: How do the AI features in OnePlus 13 differentiate it from other smartphones in the market?

A: Indian smartphone users are increasingly embracing AI. The OnePlus 13 series leverages AI to provide a more intuitive and advanced user experience across photography, performance, and everyday functionality.

The camera system is enhanced with AI-driven tools like AI Unblur, AI Detail Boost, and AI Reflection Eraser, enabling users to capture professional-grade photos with minimal effort.

Additionally, our AI-powered Dual Exposure algorithm combines short and long exposure shots to improve motion clarity and dynamic range. This ensures better image quality in both fast-moving scenarios and low-light conditions.

Beyond photography, features such as Intelligent Search, Circle to Search, and integration with Google Gemini allow users to find documents, images, and messages using natural language — without opening apps manually — significantly streamlining navigation.

Q: What steps has OnePlus taken to address the green-line issue in displays?

A: To maintain high quality standards, we’ve implemented multiple checkpoints to address the green-line issue — a concern across the industry. This includes adopting advanced display technologies, extensive testing procedures, and tech-first interventions.

We’ve incorporated an enhanced edge bonding layer using PVX edge-sealing material in all OnePlus AMOLED displays. This acts as a protective barrier that significantly reduces moisture and oxygen intrusion over time.

Our products undergo over 180 rigorous quality tests in our in-house engineering labs. This includes the Double 85 Test, where displays are subjected to 85°C temperature and 85% humidity over extended periods to verify durability.

Q: What is Project Starlight, and what is the vision behind OnePlus’ investment in India?

A: India’s smartphone market is expanding rapidly, with users increasingly demanding innovative features and robust after-sales support. Catering to the evolving needs of Indian consumers has always been a priority for us.

Under Project Starlight, we plan to invest ₹2,000 crore annually over the next three years, totaling ₹6,000 crore. The project focuses on building durable devices, strengthening customer service, and delivering India-centric features.

For instance, the OnePlus 13 is the first phone in India to support 5.5G connectivity, boasting up to 380% faster performance. We’ve also launched custom signal optimization features for Delhi Metro, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity and a seamless travel experience.

Q: What is OnePlus’ current market share, and what strategies are in place to stay competitive?

A: We have a comprehensive plan for 2025. With the launch of the OnePlus 13 series, we’ve laid a strong foundation for the year. We’ll continue delivering cutting-edge technology across all product categories, with a strong focus on improving user experience.

In 2025, OnePlus India will prioritize innovation, locally customized features, and end-to-end customer service. Our goal is not just to meet but exceed customer expectations.

Additionally, we’ve introduced a 180-day phone replacement plan for the OnePlus 13 series. If customers experience any hardware issues within 180 days of purchase, they’re eligible for a free device replacement — a move aimed at strengthening customer trust and satisfaction.
