Ace director Imtiaz Ali who has given super hits like Jab we met, Rock star, Highway and many more is all set to finally try his luck making a biopic for the very first time. And he has chosen to make a biopic on none other than the legendary Madhubala who known for her iconic roles in evergreen movies like ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Mr and Mrs 55’, ‘Chalti ka Naam Gaadi’ and many more. The legendary Mumtaz Jehan Begum Dehlavi or famously known as Madhubala has acted in over 70 movies in her career.
Imtiaz Ali has recently acquired the right to either make a movie or an online web series on the beautiful and legendary actress from Madhubala Ventures Pvt Ltd which is owned by the late movie stars family. Although nothing is final and Imtiaz Ali has not issued any statement on the cast of the movie, however, Madhubala’s youngest sister Madhur Brij Bushan has expressed her wish to see Kareen Kapoor play the role of Madhubala on the silver screen.

Imtiaz Ali who is currently working on Love Aaj Kal 2 starring Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan this a sequel of his 2009 hit movie Love Aaj Kal starring Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.
Some stars stay immortal in the hearts of their fans for eternity, Madhubala was one such star, Madhubala was and still is adored by many. Even though she was an extremely talented, beautiful and successful actress, she was considered extremely unlucky in matters of love. She felt strongly for many men in her lifetime from Latif, Mohan Sinha, Kamal Amrohi, Premnath, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Dilip Kumar, Pradeep Kumar, Bharat Bhushan, to finally marrying Kishore Kumar.
But it is said that of all the men she was most deeply in love with Dilip Kumar but circumstances were such that she was unable to marry him, she eventually went on to marry Kishore Kumar. It was on her honeymoon in London that Madhubala was diagnosed with a ventricular septal defect or commonly known as a hole in the heart.
Doctors declared that she had only two years to live, even though Kishore Kumar knew that Madhubala was unwell he sent her to her father’s house post their return from London and that is where Madhubala stayed for nine long years, despite being married to Kishore Kumar. She eventually died in Mumbai on 23rd February 1969 at the age of 36.
Madhubala, the ‘Marilyn Monroe’ of India, still remains to be the most beautiful and talented star Indian cinema has ever seen. she still goes on to live in the hearts of her fans.
