Lionel Messi Visit: On December 15, 2025, Monday, Messi is expected to be present at the Arun Jaitley Stadium event from 1 pm to 4 pm. In the meantime, the police will take very strict measures, having already received a signal from the Kolkata chaos that broke out during Messi’s tour. Events in Hyderabad and Mumbai, on the other hand, were held without any problems. A high-ranking police official stated that a multi-tier security system, with a strong emphasis on control over the crowds, access management, and regulation of traffic, has been set up. Separate security layers have been constructed around the stadium, along with reinforcement of police and paramilitary units. Only holders of tickets with the appropriate validity will be allowed to get inside the arena. As part of the security measures, the police have also established frisking spots, anti-sabotage examinations, and CCTV monitoring. The quick reaction teams and emergency response units will be ready to respond immediately during the whole event period. On the area of traffic, there have been specific arrangements. The vehicles that have been labelled will be allowed to park in the areas assigned to them, including P1 by Vikram Nagar. Non-labeled cars have to be parked at Rajghat Powerhouse and Mata Sundari Lane, from where the people can walk to the stadium. Passengers using app-based taxis have been instructed to alight at Rajghat Chowk and stroll down to the site. There will be no parking allowed at all close to the stadium, and cars parked without permission will be towed away with a fine imposed. The police are counting on a large number of people to come and go starting at 11 am. Roads such as Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, ITO, Delhi Gate, Netaji Subhash Marg, and Brijmohan Chowk will be best avoided by commuters during the hours when the event is going on. Besides, the public is encouraged to travel by metro and buses to the venue.
