For the second consecutive year, the Suvali Beach in Surat hosted an exciting beach festival. Furthermore, a water purification plant is being set up with an investment of ₹10 crore to ensure drinking water availability.
Infrastructure Development and Amenities
To create job opportunities for the people of Surat and the surrounding areas and attract tourists, the state government has invested ₹28 crore in the development of Suvali Beach. This investment will cover infrastructure expansion, including road construction, electricity, water supply, and other essential amenities.
Development of Dabari Beach
Following the development of Suvali Beach, Dabari Beach is also set to undergo development, with a budget of ₹10 crore approved for the project. Once known for accidents, Dabari Beach is now becoming a major attraction. Tourists are advised to stay safe by following guidelines regarding swimming and avoiding dangerous areas in the sea.
₹50 Crore Fund from State Government
For the tourism development of Suvali Beach, the state government has allocated ₹50 crore. This fund will be used for building a 10-meter-wide road and a rest house, which will cost ₹4.71 crore. This project is expected to generate employment opportunities in nearby villages.
Exciting Activities at the Beach Festival
The beach festival also offered various attractions to draw tourists, including beach volleyball, tug-of-war, camel rides, kite flying, commando nets, tire climbing, and rope climbing adventure activities. Additionally, there were mehendi, music, dance, painting, handicrafts, games for children, food courts, craft stalls, and photo corners. For adventure enthusiasts, special arrangements for adventure sports were also made.
