New Delhi, July 29, 2025: Chinese tech giant Vivo is expected to launch its upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Vivo V60 5G, in India this August. While the company has teased the launch on its official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle, the exact date has not been confirmed.

Industry insiders suggest the Vivo V60 5G could be a rebranded version of the Vivo S30, which was recently launched in China. The designs of both smartphones appear almost identical, strengthening the speculation. The Vivo V60 is also expected to be an upgrade to the Vivo V50, which debuted earlier in February this year. In India, the starting price of the device is anticipated to be around ₹35,000.

Expected Specifications and Features:
Display:
The Vivo V60 5G is likely to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels, and an impressive peak brightness of up to 5000 nits, making it ideal for outdoor visibility.

Camera Setup:
On the rear, the smartphone is expected to sport a triple camera system, including a 50MP primary lens, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. For selfies and video calls, the device may offer a 50MP front-facing camera.

Performance:
Under the hood, the V60 5G could be powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 or the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It is expected to run on the latest Android 16 operating system, ensuring smooth performance and software support.

Battery and Charging:
The smartphone may pack a large 6,500mAh battery, with support for 90W fast charging. Some leaks also indicate the possibility of 100W ultra-fast charging, potentially making it one of the fastest-charging phones in its segment.

RAM and Storage:
The Vivo V60 5G is expected to be available in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, along with support for virtual RAM expansion. In terms of storage, users may get to choose between 256GB and 512GB options.
