At the heart of Vadiraj’s oeuvre is the critically acclaimed Hindi short film ‘Ek Sulagta Sawal’ based on the burning issue of safety, protection and security of the girl child, the harrowing realities of child molestation and sexual abuse, shedding light on the urgent need for societal and systemic reforms. The film highlights the trauma endured by victims and the proactive measures undertaken by the government.

‘Ek Sulagta Sawal’ garnered widespread recognition, clinching seven prestigious awards at the 4th Marathwada International Film Festival in November 2024 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Mandir, Mumbai, for Best Film, Best Production House, Best Executive Producer, Best Director, Best Music, Best Director of Photography, and Best Sound Editing.
The film was conferred with the esteemed ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Janmabhoomi Puraskar’ for Best Short Film at the 11th Nashik International Film Festival in March 2025.

Vadiraj’s unwavering commitment to social causes through cinematic expression, earned him the “India’s Pride Award” in January 2025, organized at Mumbai by the Bharatiya Cineyug Academy, recognizing his outstanding contributions to arts, culture, and social impact.
Musical Tributes to Divinity
Beyond filmmaking, Vadiraj has showcased his lyrical prowess through devotional music. He penned two soul-stirring songs – ‘Chalo Ayodhya Jayenge’, sung by legendary singer, Sudesh Bhosle, and ‘Prabhu Ramlalla’, voiced by Kavita Raam with compositions by Amar Prabhakar Desai. Released to commemorate the Pran Pratishtha of ‘Prabhu Ramlalla’ and the inauguration of the ‘Shri Ram Mandir’ in Ayodhya in January 2024, these songs resonated deeply with audiences nationwide.
To date, Vadiraj has authored lyrics for 14 songs in Hindi and Marathi including crafting campaign songs during the May 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.
Literary Pursuits: Documenting Sacred Heritage
An erudite author, Vadiraj is completing a coffee table book on Ayodhya, Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Shri Ram Temple with subsequent volumes focusing on Mathura, Shri Krishnajanmabhoomi, Kashi and Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Future projects include books on tourism and pilgrimage centers across India.

Upcoming Project: “Veerta ki Aag”
Vadiraj is set to make his directorial debut with the Hindi film ‘Veerta ki Aag’, based on his original screenplay. The narrative centers on the brave journey of a soldier serving in the Indian Army at Pahalgam in Kashmir, thwarting instrusions and terrorist attacks at the borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh. The film explores themes of patriotism, sacrifice, and the emotional toll on families of defence forces during wartime. It features a powerful patriotic song, penned by Vadiraj, sung by Monu Rathod, of IIFA-nominated track ‘Jako Rakhe Saiyaan’ fame from the film ‘Kill’ produced by Dharma Productions.
‘Veerta ki Aag’ is slated for submission to the National Film Awards and IFFI in Goa, pending timely CBFC certification.
Passionate about filmmaking, Vadiraj cites inspiration from legendary filmmakers such as Satyajit Ray, Shyam Benegal, Raj Kapoor and also admires the acting prowess of great Bollywood actors like Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Nutan, Nargis, Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan.
Marketing and Distribution Strategy
Vadiraj has not yet sold or released his acclaimed short film ‘Ek Sulagta Sawal’ and is seeking interested buyers and open to revenue sharing with platforms like Vimeo and Pocket Films.
Future Endeavors and Philanthropy
Expanding his artistic horizons, Vadiraj plans to record the ‘Shri Hanuman Chalisa’ in his distinctive baritone voice. His commitment to social upliftment is evident in his plans to establish a charitable trust for underprivileged persons.
