Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has launched the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition in India at a price of ₹4.98 crore (ex-showroom). This limited edition is based on the long-wheelbase Range Rover available for sale in India and has been customized by the brand’s bespoke SV division. The Ranthambore Edition is the first limited edition exclusively designed for India.
Only 12 units of the Ranthambore Edition will be produced. Each unit will have bespoke door sill plates indicating the model number (for example, 1 of 12). The SV division has used a custom black exterior finish with a reddish hue, contrasted with Corinthian bronze and anthracite accents inspired by tiger stripes. The grille, tailgate, and 23-inch dark alloy wheels also reflect the tiger stripes design.
Interior Inspired by Tiger’s Spine and Stripes
The interior of the Ranthambore Edition features a four-seat cabin, upholstered in Caraway and Perlino semi-aniline leather with contrast stitching. The seats have embroidered designs inspired by the tiger’s spine and stripes, enhancing the unique feel of the edition.
Reclining Seats and Refrigerated Compartment
To distinguish the Ranthambore Edition from the standard Range Rover SV, the vehicle comes with custom scatter cushions, chrome highlights, light veneer, and white ceramic dials. It offers fully reclining rear seats, powered tables, deployable cup holders, and a refrigerated compartment with SV-etched glassware for rear passengers.
3.0-Liter Six-Cylinder Turbo-Petrol Engine
This limited-edition model is equipped with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, delivering 400hp and 550Nm of torque, the same engine as in the Autobiography variant priced at ₹2.6 crore (ex-showroom).
JLR has also announced that a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the Ranthambore Edition will be donated to the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India, supporting wildlife preservation efforts.
