Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated India’s unwavering support for the people of Palestine through a letter on the occasion of International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. In the letter, he expressed deep concern over the ongoing conflict between Palestine and Israel, emphasizing the urgent need for a ceasefire, the release of hostages, and action against terrorism.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted India’s concern about the security and humanitarian situation in Palestine, stating that diplomacy and dialogue are the most effective pathways to achieving peace and stability. He called upon both parties to engage in discussions to find a resolution that could lead to the establishment of an independent and viable Palestinian state coexisting peacefully with Israel.
Additionally, Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to being a strong development partner for Palestine. He assured continued implementation of various projects based on the needs and priorities of the Palestinian people.
The Palestinian Embassy welcomed Prime Minister Modi’s letter and praised India’s consistent support. Abed Alrazaz Abu Jazar, Chargé d’Affaires of the Palestinian Embassy in India, expressed gratitude for the message, acknowledging India’s commitment to a two-state solution and the establishment of a robust Palestinian state. He emphasized Palestine’s ongoing efforts to resolve the issue and achieve lasting peace.
