2025 Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Launched: Updated Hybrid SUV Offers 27.97 km/l Mileage; Price Hiked by Up to ₹41,000

Maruti Suzuki has launched the 2025 updated model of its smart hybrid SUV, the Grand Vitara, in India. The latest version now comes with an all-wheel drive (AWD) option paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The compact SUV also features new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a powered driver seat, and six airbags as standard.

According to the company, the hybrid-powered Grand Vitara delivers a mileage of 27.97 km per litre. The updated SUV now includes 18 variants, all compatible with E20 fuel. New optional (O) variants have been introduced for the Zeta, Zeta+, Alpha, and Alpha+ trims, all of which include a panoramic sunroof.

A new Delta+ variant with a strong hybrid engine has also been added, making the strong hybrid version approximately ₹1.5 lakh more affordable. Additionally, a CNG variant is available, although its pricing is yet to be announced. The Grand Vitara is priced between ₹11.19 lakh and ₹20.68 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor.

Performance:

With the 2025 update, the Grand Vitara now offers a 6-speed automatic transmission paired with an all-wheel drive (AWD) setup. Previously, this drivetrain was available only with a manual gearbox, which has now been discontinued. Other than the transmission upgrade, there are no changes to the car’s overall performance.
