Mahi Gill was born on the 19th of December in the year 1975. Besides, she is 47 years old as of now. Recently, she celebrated her 45th birthday with a bash. Also, she was born in the joint capital of both Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh. It is a properly planned city and a Union Territory too. Mahi was born to a staunch Punjabi family of the Jatt community. Besides, Mahi’s father was a very famous personality in Chandigarh. Personal Life
Mahi Gill accomplished her schooling from the very famous St. Kabir Public School which is located in the city of Chandigarh, UT. Afterwards, she accomplished a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Psychology, Sociology and English altogether from the famous Government College for Girls which is located in Chandigarh too. Also, she pursued a B.A. degree in these three fields there. Later, she enrolled in the very famous Punjab University located in Chandigarh in order to accomplish a Master’s Degree in Theater. However, she passed with flying colours there too. Since a child, she was always a scholar and aced most of her exams on her journey to postgraduation.
Besides, Mahi Gill is a hardcore non-vegetarian and loves to binge on seafood. Also, some of her favourite seafood dishes include Crab platter, Tuna, Pomfret and Prawns. Moreover, she is fairly an introvert in reality. Besides, she loves to spend quality time at home along with her parents and other family members too whenever she gets some time. Career
After accomplishing a Bachelor’s Degree, she took 3 months of training at the famous Officers Training Academy, popularly known as the OTA. She appeared for its test and passed with flying colours too. Unfortunately, while undergoing some training, she got injured severely. Alas! She left the training in the middle as she took several months’ rest. She healed completely later. Moreover, a keen interest built up in the field of acting and drama. Later, she participated in several dramas and shows at various platforms. She did this while pursuing her Postgraduation Degree. Incredible, isn’t it?
In the year 2003, she received a huge breakthrough. She appeared in the blockbuster Punjabi movie titled Hawayein. Besides, everyone loved her acting and praised it a lot. Mahi was on cloud nine!
Afterwards, she received another opportunity. This time, she debuted in the Bollywood industry with a film titled Dev-D in the year 2009. It was directed by the famous director, Anurag Kashyap. In the film, she portrayed the famous role of Paro. However, Anurag took note of her during a live dance performance by her at a popular club. He approached her for a film. She gladly accepted it with both hands. For Paro’s role, she won the prestigious Filmfare Award! Later, in the year 2011, she appeared in the famous film titled Saheb, Biwi aur Gangster.
Besides, she took part in various other films later such as Paan Singh Tomar and Bullet Raja. She acted in many regional movies too.
