French automaker Citroën has announced the prices for the automatic transmission variant of its entry-level hatchback, Citroën C3. The updated version of the Citroën C3 and Citroën C3 Aircross was first introduced in the Indian market during the launch event of the SUV-coupe Basalt in August 2024.
The hatchback now comes equipped with six airbags and several new features. Citroën has added the option of a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission to the top variant, Turbo Shine, priced at ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The Citroën C3 competes with models like Maruti Wagon R, Celerio, and Tata Tiago.

Engine and Gearbox Options
The Citroën C3 is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 81Bhp and 115Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Additionally, a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine is available, delivering 109hp and 190Nm of torque. This engine comes with options for both a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Exterior: LED Projector Headlamps
The updated Citroën C3 retains its previous exterior design, but now features LED projector headlamps instead of halogen lights. The outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) are now equipped with integrated turn indicators, and the ORVMs can be electrically adjusted and folded. A rear windshield washer and wiper have also been added.
Interior: 7-Inch Fully Digital Driver Display
The dashboard design remains the same, but now includes a 7-inch fully digital driver display, borrowed from the Citroën C3 Aircross SUV. Other changes include moving the power window switches from the center console to the driver-side door pads and the addition of automatic climate control.
Features: Safety and Technology
The Citroën C3 hatchback continues to offer features like a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted audio controls, remote locking/unlocking, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat.
For safety, the C3 now comes with six airbags, along with electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a rear parking camera with sensors.
