The whole world is fighting against COVID-19, the lethal virus which has taken lives of more than 10,000 people. While the Indian government is ensuring that no stone is left unturned in keeping India safe, it is also the duty of Indian citizens, especially celebrities, to support the government and follow the instructions properly so that no problem arises afterwards.
Kanika Kapoor tested positive
Kanika Kapoor, the “Baby Doll” singer, has been tested positive for COVID-19 and presently, she is getting treated at King George’s Medical University (KGMU) hospital, Lucknow. The singer returned from London on March 15 and she issued a statement for her fans in which she said that she is feeling mild fever like flu but she is okay and there is nothing to worry. Also read about, Vishagan Vanangamudi, Saurabh Raj Jain.
The real problem
The real problem is not that Kanika Kapoor has been tested positive but the fact that she organized a grand party at a five star hotel in Lucknow for her family and friends and it is being said that the count of guests was more than 100.
Irresponsible behaviour
It is also being said that she hid her travel history from the airport authorities and when the whole world is practicing social distancing, she organized a lavish party. It is also the fault of those guests who attended the party as they should have refused to come and should have also asked Kanika not to organize such an event. Kanika Kapoor is trending on top on Twitter and the Indian Twitter users are quite upset with the 41 years old singer.
Here are some of the selected tweets:
Let me say this aloud – #KanikaKapoor needs to be arrested and given some punishment. Any person knowingly putting life of others in danger needs to be stringently dealt with as we battle #CoronavirusOutbreakindia
This woman should be charged with criminal negligence. Period.

My colleague @ShivendraAajTak has learnt that #KanikaKapoor escaped screening at Lucknow airport, by colluding with authorities on ground and hiding in the washroom.
Time to find & penalise these others culpable too. https://t.co/eelFClXFvG

Educated fools like #kanikakapoor are more dangerous than #coronavirus itself. India had successfully kept the disease at bay for a long time but irresponsible n juvenile behaviour can upset the fight.
