Indian cinema is entering a new era of animation with Baahubali: The Eternal War, an upcoming animated version of SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster universe. After the huge success of Mahavatar Narsimha earlier this year, the teaser of Baahubali: The Eternal War has now been released, creating big excitement among fans.
The film is directed by award-winning filmmaker Ishan Shukla and will be a two-part animated movie, with Part 1 releasing worldwide in 2027. The teaser was first shown with Baahubali: The Epic — a special one-cut version of Rajamouli’s hit films — before being shared online.
The story follows Amarendra Baahubali (voiced by Prabhas), who after being betrayed and killed, finds himself in the afterlife caught in a huge battle between devas (gods) and asuras (demons). As he travels through 14 realms, he faces divine challenges, forms new alliances, and fights to restore peace in the universe.
The film is written by Ishan Shukla and Sowmya Sharma, and produced by SS Rajamouli, Shobu Yarlagadda, and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works. The music is by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani, adding power and emotion to the story.
With advanced animation, a mythological storyline, and Rajamouli’s creative touch, Baahubali: The Eternal War is set to change the future of Indian animation and bring the Baahubali legend to a new generation.
