Amrapali Kata is the youngest female IAS officer to be selected as the District Collector of Warangal Urban District, Telangana. She also gained limelight after she started working for the betterment of society. Furthermore, she is the first female IAS officer. Early Life and Career
Amrapali Kata is a child to Padmavathi and Venkat Reddy Kata. She was born on 4 November 1982. Venkat Kata has worked as a teacher at Andhra University. Amrapali also has a sister who does the job at the Revenue Department of Karnataka. She completed her schooling from a school in Andhra Pradesh. She then joined IIM, Bangalore and completed her MBA. She was the youngest candidate to clear the UPSC exam in 2010. To prepare for the exams she quit her job.
She worked as the Deputy Collector of Vikarabad in 2013. In 2014, Amrapali became the director and manager of the Women and Child Welfare Department. The next year, she was chosen as the Joint Collector of Ranga Reddy District, Telangana. She worked as the District Collector of Warangal Urban District in 2016. Amrapali’s work is praised several times by the government. The diva works for the common problems of poor hygiene, contaminated water, and more, and help in making people know of its solutions. Amrapali Kata also gifted the books Economics of Sanitation to people.
Not only this but Amrapali also served as a private secretary to the Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs. For this work, she became popular and gained several followers. She makes the best use of technology and enhanced the results. Several people then joined her for the project and made the area colorful.
She also became a part of the controversy when she addressed the public on Republic Day. She laughed at the event. After that, the public criticized her for mocking in an event.
