Security measures around Salman Khan’s residence continue to be strengthened. On Sunday, renovation work was underway on the balcony of his Galaxy apartment in Bandra. According to reports, this step was taken with Salman and his family’s safety in mind. In fact, for some time now, Salman Khan has been receiving threats from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, with specific threats to his life.
Salman Khan Targeted by Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
Salman Khan has been receiving constant threats from the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang in recent months. The threats stem from the 1998 blackbuck poaching incident, for which the Bishnoi community is angered. Lawrence Bishnoi himself gave an interview threatening to kill Salman Khan. According to the NIA, Khan is at the top of a list of 10 individuals whom Lawrence, from jail, has threatened to kill.
Shooting Incident Outside Salman Khan’s Home
On April 14, 2024, at 5 a.m., shots were fired outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartment in Bandra. Two assailants on a bike fired four rounds. At the time of the incident, Salman was at home.
Murder of Salman Khan’s Close Friend Baba Siddiqui
It is also noteworthy that on October 12, 2024, Salman Khan’s close friend and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui was murdered. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the killing. Following this, strict security arrangements were made outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy apartment. Since then, no vehicles are allowed to stop near or outside Salman’s home.
Enhanced Security After Threats: Salman Khan Given Y+ Security
Following the threats from Lawrence Bishnoi in 2023, Salman Khan’s security was increased. The Maharashtra government provided him with Y+ security. This security circle includes 11 personnel who are always with Salman, including one or two commandos and two personal security officers (PSOs). Two vehicles are always stationed in front and behind his car, which is also fully bulletproof.
