Kutch, Gujarat | July 2025: A shocking incident has emerged from Anjar town in Gujarat’s Kutch district, where a 25-year-old woman Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), Arunaben Natubhai Jadav, was allegedly strangled to death by her boyfriend. The accused, identified as Dilip Dangchiya, a CRPF jawan posted in Manipur, reportedly surrendered himself to the police soon after committing the crime.
The incident took place late Friday night in Gangotri Society-2, where the victim was residing. According to police sources, a heated argument between Arunaben and Dilip escalated over a personal dispute. In a fit of rage, Dilip allegedly strangled her to death. The victim hailed from Derwada village in Surendranagar district and was serving at the Anjar police station.
Following the murder, Dilip voluntarily appeared at Anjar Police Station and confessed to the crime. He was immediately taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
Preliminary findings suggest that Arunaben and Dilip had been in a long-term relationship and were reportedly planning to get married soon. The incident has sent shockwaves through the police department and the local community. Authorities have assured that a thorough probe is being conducted, and more details will be revealed in due course.
