Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kishorsinh Chavda Inaugurates Three-Day Workshop on ‘The Future of Critical Care Procedures That Save Lives’

Surat (Gujarat) [India]: Thursday – A three-day workshop titled ‘The Future of Critical Care Procedures That Save Lives’ was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kishorsinh Chavda at the New Civil Hospital, organized by the Government Nursing College in collaboration with the Nursing Association. Over 310 delegates were present on the first day of the workshop.

During the workshop, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Kishorsinh Chavda emphasized the importance of online examination methods, timely results, and practical education in nursing. He highlighted the dedication of healthcare workers in the medical field and urged attendees to provide compassionate care to patients. He encouraged everyone to commit to serving the nation by offering care to patients with renewed energy. Dr. Chavda added that utilizing mobile technology appropriately and participating in such workshops can enhance students’ practical knowledge, enabling them to better serve patients.

Dr. Parul Vadgam, Executive Member of VNSGU and Head of the TB Chest Department, guided participants, stating the rising number of viral infections and viral pneumonia patients necessitates that both doctors and nursing staff learn critical care to save lives during emergencies.

On the first day, various practical skills related to critical care, including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator modes, infusion/syringe pumps, catheterization, ECG lead placement, and multipara monitoring, were demonstrated by Dr. Ashok Sharma, Founder and CEO of Nursing Champs, along with his team and trainers from the system.

The workshop is being organized by Dr. Indravati Rao, Principal of the Government Nursing College, along with the Nursing Campus team.

The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Medical Officer Dr. Dharitri Parmar, RMO Dr. Ketan Nayak, Iqbal Kadiwala from the Nursing Council, Principal Kiran Domadia from TNTV Nursing College, and Ashwin Pandya and Nilesh Lathiya from the Nursing Association, along with staff from various nursing colleges and delegates.
