A case of theft involving cables worth ₹5.72 lakh from the Jio store in Varachha, Surat, has come to light. Upon reviewing the store’s inventory, the theft was discovered, revealing that the stolen cables were being sold at a lower price to the company’s own employees. In connection with the case, three individuals, including a helper, have been arrested.
According to police sources, Mukesh Mohanlal Raikwar, a resident of Khatodara GIDC near Reliance Mall and employed as a store manager at the Rajhans Shopping Center Jio Store on Varachha Main Road, reported the theft. Information was received that cables were being removed from the Varachha Jio Store without proper billing. During the investigation, it was found that a helper named Bablukumar had taken cables worth ₹5.72 lakh without generating any bills, and the records of this movement were missing.
Upon questioning, Bablukumar confessed to stealing the cables. To avoid detection, he bypassed the store’s movement code system. He further revealed that due to financial needs, he sold the stolen cables to Vijaykumar Pitambar Pardeshi and Rameshkumar Manish Patel, both employees of the same company.
Following a complaint filed at the Varachha Police Station, the police arrested Bablukumar Singh Kaushalkishore Singh, a resident of Yashodanandan Residency near Dindoli Delvada, along with Rameshkumar Manishbhai Patel from Shijinagar near Utran Railway Station, and Vijay Pardeshi, in connection with the theft.
