Importance of Skilling, Upskilling, and Reskilling in Education
“Hard work has no substitute; only with the touch of diligent effort can we achieve true happiness,” said Kunwarjibhai Halpati, Minister of Labor and Skill Development. He emphasized that skilling, upskilling, and reskilling patterns in education are crucial, as they foster competence, continuous learning, and skill upgrading.
Awarding Degrees and Certificates to 326 Trainees
Surat, Saturday: At the Mandvi Industrial Training Institute (ITI), a skill graduation ceremony was organized under the chairmanship of Minister Kunwarjibhai Halpati and in the inspiring presence of MP Prabhubhai Vasava. Degrees and certificates were awarded to 326 trainees across various trades, encouraging them to advance with entrepreneurship and skill.
Promotion of Skill Development for Future Opportunities
Minister Halpati congratulated the graduates, highlighting that alongside skill development, soft skills are equally essential. He remarked that ITIs now place significant emphasis on skill development, which teaches youths to continually upgrade their abilities. He added that the 21st century is recognized as India’s century due to its young population, and the government’s youth welfare initiatives are paving the way for employment and self-employment opportunities.
Distribution of Certificates for Various Trades
Certificates were awarded to trainees in trades like Fitter, Electrician, Wireman, Welder, Mechanic Diesel Engine, COPA, Sewing Technology, Basic Cosmetology, and Health Sanitary Inspector. ITI provided guidance to trainees on future entrepreneurship, apprenticeship, and employment opportunities.

The event was attended by dignitaries including Principal B.S. Gamit, Foreman Instructors K.K. Chaudhary, S.B. Chaudhary, Y.G. Gamit, A.L. Chaudhary, and several other supervisor instructors and trainees.
