Surat: A School Safety program was organized at Mahadev Shastri Vidyalaya in Olpad Taluka of Surat district under the guidance of Inspector Bharatkumar Maurya from the District Disaster Management Committee and NDRF team. Around 700 students participated in the event.
The program was attended by the school principal Dr. Bharatkumar G. Patel and District Disaster Officer (DPO) Mr. Kaushik Poria.
During the event, the members of the NDRF and Disaster Management Committee provided valuable information on sudden disasters that can occur in the district and the precautionary steps to be taken during such emergencies. The students were briefed on various topics such as medical first aid, blood control, earthquakes, floods, fires, and more. The students were also trained on how to perform CPR in emergencies.
The school principal, Bharatbhai, mentioned that such activities help in raising awareness among students and provide them with crucial knowledge about the steps to take during any disaster. Additionally, the school was provided with a School Safety Emergency Kit during the event.
