Afghanistan cricketing star Rashid Khan has lately become part of a popular Bollywood trend that originated because of the upcoming film Border 2. He posted an image of himself roasting corn in Dubai by the sidewalk in the form of a short video on Instagram.
There was some music playing from Border 2 in the background of the video. Rashid even wrote a fun remark that he is definitely going to watch Border 2 and joked that he is posting the video. The video was uploaded while Rashid is in the UAE for the cricket series between Afghanistan and West Indies 2026.
The video went viral soon enough on social media networks. Varun Dhawan, who acts in the movie, posted a positive comment in response to the video. Ahan Shetty also posted a comment in which he sent love to Rashid. Suniel Shetty, who is a veteran actor, also reacted to the video in a positive manner.
Indian cricketer KL Rahul also shared a similar video supporting Border 2. According to Rahul, the reason the film is special to him is that Ahan Shetty, who stars in an important role in the film, is his brother-in-law.
Border 2 is receiving quite an impressive launch on social media platforms, thanks to support from popular cricketers as well as actors.
Border 2 will be hitting theaters from January 23rd, just before the Republic Day celebrations. It has a cast consisting of Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh. It is a sequel to the superhit war film from 1997, Border, which is even now a favorite among the most watched wars in India.
