Ranveer Singh’s “83” based on India’s historic World Cup win:
We are pretty sure that he is going to mesmerise us once again with his brilliant acting in the upcoming film “83” which is based on the Indian cricket team’s World Cup win. The 83 World Cup victory was quite special as nobody believed that team India will be able to defeat the mighty West Indian team.
In the flick which is being directed by Kabir Khan, Ranveer Singh is playing the character of cricketer Kapil Dev who was the Indian skipper at that time. The “Bajirao Mastani” star wanted to portray the character in a perfect manner and for this purpose, he not only ensured that he looked like Kapil but also went to Delhi to spend some time with the cricketer so that he can learn the style of his batting, bowling and fielding.

Just recently, Ranveer shared a photo in which he is seen playing Kapil’s famous Natraj Shot. As soon as he posted the pic, it went viral and his fans are going gaga over the fact as to how similar he is looking to Kapil and he has perfectly copied the shot as well.

Ranveer’s wife and actress Deepika Padukone is also a part of the flick and she plays the character of Kapil’s wife Romi Dev. The movie which is going to release on 10th April 2020, also stars Chirag Patil, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Sahil Khattar, Saqib Saleem, Amrita Puri, Jiiva, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk and Pankaj Tripathi.
“83” is definitely one of the most awaited films as it will give many a chance to relive the past while many youngsters will witness the victory which changed the Indian cricket in a big manner.
