Parliament Winter Session Day 6: Prime Minister Modi will talk about the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram in the Lok Sabha today, which is the sixth day of the Parliament Winter Session. Congress has nominated Deputy Leader of the Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi and Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to the debate. A second debate on Vande Mataram is set for the Rajya Sabha tomorrow, and both Houses are getting ready to talk about the national song throughout the week. Also, theLok Sabha will open the big discussion on election reforms on December 9 which will include the issue of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The Rajya Sabha will be at the same time and topic on December 10 and 11. The discussions are likely to cover areas that include transparency, voter inclusion, and the difficulties in the current electoral process. The day before, the Lok Sabha passed the Cess Bill, 2025, which links health security with national security, thus signaling the government’s strategy of making health preparedness a part of national security.
