Surat: On Monday, a meeting was held at the District Seva Sadan under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Saurabh Parghi to ensure the smooth execution of the Youth Exchange Program to be organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Surat, in January. During the meeting, the District Collector stated that 120 youths from terrorism-affected districts of Jammu and Kashmir, including Anantnag, Kupwara, Baramulla, Badgam, and Pulwama, along with 12 team leaders, will visit Surat from January 6th to 11th.
The Youth Exchange Program will also involve youths from other states visiting Surat, and all necessary arrangements will be made to ensure they have a pleasant experience of Surat and Gujarat.
During the program, the youths will visit industrial sites such as Adani Port-Hazira, Harekrishna Diamond, Lakshmipati Group, and Euro Wafers, as well as educational places like Narmada University and the Dandi Salt Satyagraha Museum in Navsari. Additionally, various seminars will be organized.
Furthermore, from January 26th to February 1st, the 16th Tribal Youth Exchange Program will also take place. This program will bring 200 youths from the Naxal-affected districts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra, along with 20 team leaders, to Surat. They will visit places such as Harekrishna Diamond, Lakshmipati Group, Police Headquarters, Euro Wafers, Kiran Hospital, Sumul Dairy, Narmada University, and the Dandi Salt Satyagraha Museum in Navsari.
Sachin Sharma, District Youth Officer of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Surat, provided details on the framework and organization of the Youth Exchange Program. During the meeting, the District Collector received detailed information about the preparations for the program and emphasized ensuring that no aspect of the arrangements is overlooked. Everyone was urged to remain vigilant to ensure the program runs smoothly.
