In this modern era, where the field of journalism has undergone and witnessed severe changes, and has put a full stop to the traditional modes also. Such an example is from Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda from where a young journalist, Dil Bar Irshad, started a news portal, VoM News, which basically abbreviates to Voice of Masses.
Though having a remote, mountainous, hilly hurdle creating markups, Dil Bar started the above-mentioned setup in the year 2015 and even started his journalism career also.
After his basic schooling, Dil Bar became fond of sports commentary and further led out a buzzing career in the field of journalism and mass communication. Dil Bar did his Master’s from Swami Vivekananda University, Meerut in the field of journalism and mass communication.
Dil Bar came into the limelight when he got featured in awards and his international journalism career. Being the founder of a small digital outlet, VoM News, he mentored the new buds eager to join this noble profession.
Dil Bar had worked with VoM News, Khalsa Express English Newspaper, Sade e Kohastan Urdu Newspaper, Millennium Post, BNN Breaking, and TrimFeed.
Recently, VoM News started its new branch VoM News Urdu, which reflects and ricochets Urdu news from different sources on the website. This unique feature was well garnered, featured, and appreciated by the Chenab Valley as Urdu speakers pay keen interest in this.
Dil Bar is also a member of the All India Media Association – AIMA, and got nominated as a Press Member in Press Club Welfare Worldwide Foundation (2025), making himself an important asset for this noble profession.
Dil Bar has more than five years’ experience in the field of street/local journalism to global journalism and also knows the usage of technological innovation/artificial intelligence in content writing.
Dil Bar has been awarded at the local level by the Tehsil Administration, District Administration for coverage in the district. As well as, Dil Bar was recently nominated as a member in the committee of the Press Club Welfare Worldwide Foundation. He was awarded with different awards including the Corona Warrior Award by the International Human Rights Organization, Nelson Mandela International Excellency Award by the Asian Council for Education and Research, and Swami Vivekananda Pride Achievers Award by Welred Foundation.
