Recently, Jaguar introduced its new logo, which received mixed reactions from the public. Now, the company has revealed its upcoming electric concept car, set for production by the end of 2025. This concept car is named the Jaguar Type 00. Let’s take a look at the key features of this exciting new vehicle.
Jaguar Type 00 EV Concept Car: Design
- The design of the Type 00 reflects Jaguar’s ‘enthusiastic modernism’ and embodies their ‘Copy Nothing’ philosophy. The car’s style is bold and sleek, with a long bonnet and a rearward cabin. It features a coupe-style roofline, giving the car a smooth and attractive appearance.
- The front of the car includes an integrated grille and a thin lighting unit beneath the bonnet, accentuating the boxy grille look that represents Jaguar’s new design language. The bumper also features air vents at the bottom.
- On the sides, the car is adorned with distinct body lines and flared fenders, with a brass trim strip on the front fender that hides the side-view camera. The wheels feature a new double-J roundel, replacing the traditional griller logo.
- The roof has a signature body-colored panel that filters light into the cabin. Instead of a traditional rear windshield, the car has a pantograph panel that can be raised to reveal storage space behind the seats. The rear bumper includes a diffuser and a grille-like panel that integrates the tail lights.
Jaguar Type 00 EV Concept Car: Interior
- The interior of the concept car features a central console that separates the driver and passenger. There are two foldable displays, one for the driver and another for the front passenger.
- The seats are supported by plinths made of Travertine stone. Additionally, the car offers a customization option through ‘Totem’ materials—brass, travertine, and alabaster—which can be found hidden behind a powered flap on the fender. The central console allows users to adjust the cabin’s mood, including the screen display and lighting.
Jaguar Type 00 EV Concept Car: Powertrain
Jaguar has not disclosed much about the battery and other technical features of the Type 00. However, the company has confirmed that the production version of the car, when fully charged, will offer a range of 770 km. Additionally, with a rapid charger, the car can provide a range of 321 km with just 10 minutes of charging. Production is set to begin soon, and the car is expected to be launched globally in 2026.
