Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has launched the 2025 model of the Honda SP125 in India. The new model comes with updates to comply with the OBD2B emission norms, along with cosmetic changes and new features. The SP125 now includes Bluetooth connectivity and navigation and is also E-20 petrol compatible.
The updated Honda SP125 is available in two variants:
Front Drum Brake Variant with Alloy Wheels: ₹91,771 (Ex-Showroom Delhi)
Front Disc Brake Variant with Alloy Wheels: ₹1,00,284 (Ex-Showroom Delhi)
The 125cc commuter motorcycle will compete with models like the Hero Glamour, Hero Super Splendor, Honda Shine, and TVS Rider in the same segment.
Design and Hardware: LED Lighting and 18-inch Alloy Wheels
The 2025 Honda SP125 features a sharp front end and tail section with new LED headlamps, taillights, aggressive tank shrouds, a chrome muffler cover, and advanced graphics. It also comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, with 80/100 section tires at the front and 100/80 section tires at the rear.
For a comfortable ride, the bike is equipped with dual telescopic forks at the front and a hydraulic suspension setup at the rear. Braking options include a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 130mm drum brake option.
Performance: Updated Engine with 10.7 BHP Power
The major update in the SP125 is in the engine. The bike now features an updated engine to meet OBD2B emission standards. It is powered by a 123.94cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that generates 10.7 BHP of power and 10.9 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
OBD2 (On-Board Diagnostics Version 2) ensures the vehicle’s circuit integrity and monitors issues like misfires, filters, and other emissions-related aspects, alerting the rider in case of any irregularities.
Features: 4.2-inch TFT Display with Navigation
The updated SP125 now comes with Bluetooth connectivity and a 4.2-inch TFT display that supports the Honda RoadSync app. It also offers navigation, voice assist, an engine start-stop switch, a passing switch, and integrated headlamp beam features. Additionally, a USB Type-C charging port has been added for convenience.
Other features include rear suspension, a combined braking system (CBS), and an improved rear tire width (100mm) for better stability and grip. The bike also features PGM-FI technology, which improves fuel efficiency in real-world conditions.
The updated Honda SP125 offers a blend of modern technology, efficient performance, and enhanced comfort for daily commuting, making it a strong contender in the 125cc segment.
