Hero MotoCorp has launched the Hero Xtreme 160R 2V in India on September 10. This launch follows the recent introduction of the 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. The updated version of the Xtreme 160R 2V is now available at an ex-showroom price of ₹1.11 lakh, making it ₹28,000 cheaper than the 4V variant.
Like the Xtreme 160R 4V, the updated 2V model comes with features like a drag race timer, single-channel ABS, tail light, and a single-piece seat. Its main competitors are the Bajaj Pulsar N150 (₹1.25 lakh) and the Yamaha FZ range (₹1.17 lakh to ₹1.30 lakh).
2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: Design and Features
The new Hero Xtreme 160R 2V is available in a single variant and comes in black. For a more comfortable ride, Hero has replaced the split seat with a single-piece seat. The bike features an LED headlight and daytime running lights (DRL) at the front. It also has a new rear panel, tail light design, and tail section.
An emergency stop signal has been added to the tail light, which blinks when the brakes are applied suddenly. The bike also includes a drag timer in the instrument console to measure speed. It is built on a diamond-type frame, and comes with KYB inverted forks and a 7-step preload-adjustable monoshock for suspension.
For braking, the bike is equipped with a disc brake at the front with single-channel ABS, and a drum brake at the rear. It has 17-inch alloy wheels, with 100/80 tubeless tires at the front and 130/70 tubeless tires at the rear. The seat height is 795 mm, and with a 12-liter fuel tank, the bike weighs 145 kg.
2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V: Engine Specifications
There are no changes to the engine. It continues to be powered by a 163.2cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine, producing 15 hp at 8,500 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox and is compliant with OBD-2 standards, running on E20 petrol (20% ethanol blend fuel).
