Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: Fresh leak ahead of February 25 Galaxy Unpacked suggests minor hardware changes to Samsung’s next flagship
With only two days remaining for its first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year, Samsung is again making headlines because of new leaks. New marketing images have surfaced online, and according to the information, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may not offer significant improvements in the battery and camera departments, which are some of the most important aspects for consumers.
According to new marketing slides shared online by X user @ya_sking12767, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a design similar to the previous model. The images show a high-end design, and the upcoming event will also unveil the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, Galaxy Buds 4, and Buds 4 Pro. But the hardware improvements on the Ultra variant are not significant.
Battery May Remain the Same
One of the most disappointing aspects could be the battery. The leak states that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will come with the same 5,000mAh battery as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The charging speed is also expected to remain the same, taking only 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 75 percent. The battery life is expected to provide a video playback time of up to 31 hours, which is the same as last year’s model.
The camera system is also expected to be the same. The Galaxy S26 Ultra could come with a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. The front camera is expected to be the same at 12MP.
Camera Hardware Also Unchanged
This could be a letdown for consumers, especially since most other Android devices come with bigger batteries ranging from 6,000mAh to 7,000mAh. Consumers were hoping that Samsung would have improved the battery life or charging speed, but it seems that the company is prioritizing consistency over improvement. However, since this information is from a leak, it is likely that the specifications could be different at the time of launch.
Although there might not be any changes in the hardware, Samsung could bring some software upgrades. The leaked slides point out a “Private Display” feature that could minimize the screen visibility for people around, thus enhancing privacy. There could also be an AI-driven “Photo Assist” feature that might improve image editing and quality through the use of device-based AI.
Performance and Display Upgrades
When it comes to performance, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It could come with a massive 6.9-inch QHD+ M14 CoE Dynamic AMOLED display and support a maximum of 60W fast charging. The smartphone could also come with the popular S Pen, which is one of the most important aspects of the Ultra lineup.
When it comes to pricing, Samsung might launch the smartphone around Rs 1,29,999, similar to the previous model. However, some rumors point out that there could be a slight hike in the pricing.
The focus is now on the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event scheduled to take place on February 25 in San Francisco, where Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 series.
