Delhi 4 April. The grand launch of the latest edition of the epic “Buddha Gyan Mahasagar”, written jointly by senior lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi, who is honoured with the title of Vidya Vachaspati Doctorate Honoris Causa of Aligarh, and his father Mahakavi Amar Singh Rahi, was done by the hands of Bollywood film actress Esha Deol at the Radisson Blue five star hotel in Delhi.
Bollywood film actress Esha Deol, who was participating as the chief guest in this grand program organized under the aegis of Samyak Prakashan New Delhi, said that it is better to win over oneself than to win thousands of battles in life. If you win over yourself, then victory will always be yours. Overwhelmed by this feeling of Tathagata Buddha, lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi, Mahakavi Amar Singh Rahi have composed the epic “Buddha Gyan Mahasagar”. Undoubtedly, this father-son duo deserves congratulations for this unprecedented and pious work.
On this occasion, poet Amar Singh Rahi said that this epic is based on the entire life and philosophy of Tathagata Buddha, which is divided into seven cantos. Lyricist Dr. Rahi said that our folk genres have been a part of our culture, which are almost on the verge of extinction today. The same folk genres have been fully included in this holy book.
It should be known that this father-son duo is also number one. Three epics Bhim Charit Manas, Buddha Gyan Mahasagar and Manyavar Kanshiram Charit Manas have been published under their joint writing,
whose release has been done in Rashtrapati Bhavan by the hands of the then President His Excellency Dr. Pranab Mukherjee, Vice-President His Excellency Dr. Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh etc.
