Dr. Avnish Rahi received International Achievers Awards-2024 in Nepal

Under the joint aegis of *”Nepal Culture and Film Center” and hosted by ABM, personalities who have made outstanding contributions in various fields of art, culture, education, cinema and literature writing at the international level in the whole of South Asia including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka were honored with “International Achievers Awards – 2024 Nepal“.

In the same sequence, educationist and senior lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi, representing India from Aligarh metropolis, was honored with “Best Writer of the Year (International Achievers Award-2024 Nepal”) for his teaching and literary achievements, especially in view of the internationally acclaimed music album “Mahakarunik Da Lord Buddha” penned by him in the voice of Bollywood playback singers Kumar Sanu, Anuradha Paudwal and Himanshu Singh.

This grand award ceremony, organized with the aim of bringing Asian countries on one platform at the global level, was held at The British College in Thapathali, Kathmandu, in which the Honorable Bimal Thakuri, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Finance of the Government of Nepal, who was participating as the chief guest, honored all the enlightened participants by presenting them with gold medals, mementoes and certificates along with shawls.

Since lyricist Dr. Avnish Rahi was to be honored with the national award “Bharat Vibhushan-2024” in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, due to which Mr. Rahi could not attend this international award ceremony of Nepal. Therefore, this international award was made available to Dr. Rahi by the “Nepal Culture and Film Center” at his “Geet-Mahal” located at his residence Ozone City, which lyricist Dr. Rahi presented to his father, literary great poet Amar Singh Rahi and mother Rampyari Rahi.

It is worth noting that lyricist Dr. Rahi has written on many subjects. But the Buddhist philosophy has influenced him a lot and under its influence he wrote many songs on Tathagata Buddha which are very popular in 40 Buddhist countries today. In this series he also composed the epic Buddha Gyan Mahasagar in joint authorship with his father Mahakavi Amar Singh Rahi, which was released by the then Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Manmohan Singh.
