Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar still holds the top spot at the box office even after 30 days’ time, proving itself to be a movie worth watching over and over again, even though the audience slowly started losing interest. On its fifth Saturday, the film earned ₹12.60 crore net, taking its total domestic net collection to an impressive ₹806.80 crore and making it the official member of the ₹800 crore club in India. The film’s overseas box office revenue has also crossed the global earnings of Jawan and Pathaan and is now heading toward KGF: Chapter 2, which had ₹1,215 crore worldwide. Dhurandhar has been estimated by the trade analysts to be one of the major contributors to that 1,200 crore global tally in the next few days, thus making it the new member of the highest-grossing Indian films list along with Dangal, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Pushpa 2: The Rule, and RRR. With its good performance, the film has not been very much affected by the new releases. Families and kids’ films, such as Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, Ikkis, and even Hollywood’s Avatar: Ash and Fire, have not been able to stop the good run of the film. Directed by Aditya Dhar, this Ranveer Singh starer film also features Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun in essential roles. Meanwhile, the creators have already announced that Dhurandhar 2 is to be released in theatres on March 19, which has already increased the excitement about the franchise.
