Ranveer Singh starrer film crosses ₹1000 crore India gross; overseas earnings near ₹350 crore mark
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues its phenomenal run at the global box office, rewriting records and setting new benchmarks in Indian cinema. Within just 11 days of its release, the film has amassed a staggering ₹1365 crore worldwide gross, making it one of the fastest films to reach this milestone. The film’s performance in India has been particularly historic, as it crossed the ₹1000 crore gross mark domestically, cementing its position among the highest-grossing films ever in the country.
According to the makers, the India gross collection stands at ₹1023 crore, while the overseas market has contributed ₹342 crore so far. The India net box office collection has reached ₹867 crore, reflecting the film’s strong hold across regions and languages. Released in multiple languages, Dhurandhar 2 has managed to capture audiences nationwide, with particularly strong performances in states like Karnataka, Telangana, and Maharashtra. Trade analysts suggest that the film’s universal appeal, gripping storyline, and star power have played a crucial role in its success.
The film’s second weekend proved to be a game-changer, as it recorded the highest-ever second weekend collection in Hindi cinema history. With earnings of approximately ₹164 crore over the weekend, Dhurandhar 2 surpassed major blockbusters and even outperformed its predecessor. This achievement places it in an elite league of films that have shown consistent growth even after the opening week, a rare feat in today’s competitive box office environment.
Overseas markets have also responded strongly to the film. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported that the movie is on the verge of crossing the ₹350 crore mark internationally. With a total of $36.70 million (approximately ₹347 crore) already collected overseas, the film is expected to cross this milestone soon. The strong word-of-mouth and repeat viewership have contributed significantly to its sustained performance abroad.
Despite its massive success, the film witnessed a slight slowdown on weekdays, which is considered normal after such a record-breaking run. On Day 11, the film reportedly earned around ₹8.72 crore by the afternoon, indicating a steady but expected decline after an extraordinary opening phase. However, industry experts believe that the film still has a long run ahead, especially with limited competition at the box office.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 has been praised for its high production value, strong performances, and engaging narrative. The film has also received appreciation from several industry figures. Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri lauded the film’s technical aspects, particularly its cinematography and production design, calling it a benchmark for future projects.
The film’s success has also sparked conversations about Ranveer Singh’s growing dominance at the box office. With multiple record-breaking milestones under his belt, the actor has delivered one of the biggest hits of his career. From fastest ₹200 crore to ₹800 crore milestones, Dhurandhar 2 has consistently shattered records, showcasing its unmatched momentum.
Interestingly, the film is also facing competition from Hollywood releases like Project Hail Mary, which has performed well in India despite the dominance of Dhurandhar 2. However, the Hindi film continues to lead the box office charts comfortably.
As the film enters its second week, all eyes are now on whether it can cross the ₹1500 crore mark globally. Given its current pace and audience response, trade experts remain optimistic about its continued success. With strong occupancy rates, positive reviews, and a massive fan following, Dhurandhar 2 shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
