De De Pyaar De 2 Box Office: De De Pyaar De 2 recorded an opening around ₹8.5 crore on its day 1, marking a slow start for the Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and R Madhavan starrer. The performance is weaker compared to the first part, as the original De De Pyaar De had collected ₹10.41 crore on Day 1 in 2019, including Thursday previews. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the sequel picks up from the events of the previous film, where Ajay’s character had convinced his own family about his relationship with a much younger woman. In the second part, the story now focuses on his efforts to win the approval of her family, creating new emotional and comedic situations. The film also features Meezan and Jaaved Jaaferi in important roles, adding to the drama and humour. Despite the slower opening, De De Pyaar De 2 performed slightly better than Ajay’s recent release Son of Sardaar 2, which earned ₹6.75 crore on its first day. However, it falls far behind the strong opening of Ajay’s earlier hit Raid 2, which collected ₹19.25 crore on Day 1, boosted by a national holiday and very positive word of mouth. While the sequel’s start is mild, the coming days will determine whether it can pick up momentum through audience reviews and weekend footfall.
