The CBSE board has provided significant relief to students of grades 10 and 12 by reducing their syllabus by 15%. This reduction aims to help students manage their workload better and understand subjects more deeply.
Additionally, there have been changes in the exam pattern. Now, 40% of the marks will be based on internal assessments, while the remaining 60% will be based on the final written exam. The board has announced that for the year 2025, the board exams will be conducted only once. However, preparations are underway to shift towards a two-term examination model.
According to CBSE, this two-term model will provide students with more frequent assessment opportunities, helping them manage their studies more effectively without facing the pressure of a single examination. The CBSE board is expected to release the date sheet for grades 10 and 12 soon, likely in December.
Students can download the timetable from the official website once it’s released, and board exams are set to commence on February 15, 2024.
