Bihar Election 2025: Counting of votes for the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 began on November 14, and early trends show the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) crossing the majority mark. The BJP-JD(U) alliance appears to be in a strong position to form the government again.

The Mahagathbandhan, made up of the RJD and Congress, is far behind in the early numbers. The Jan Suraaj Party has not secured a lead in any seat so far.

Early trends started coming in by late morning, with clearer results expected by afternoon. Final results for all 243 seats are usually confirmed by evening, depending on the speed of counting.

This year, vote counting is being carried out by 243 Returning Officers and supervised by 243 Counting Observers, along with candidates or their representatives. According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), this is the first time in recent years that no discrepancies or malpractices were found during scrutiny at any polling station. Because of this, no repolls were required anywhere in the State.

With the NDA ahead and the opposition alliance trailing significantly, all eyes are on the final results as counting continues across Bihar.
