In celebration of 200 years since the establishment of Shri Laxminarayan Dev in Vadtal, a grand bicentennial festival is being organized from November 7 to November 15. From Vadtal, the capital of the Swaminarayan Sampraday, Lord Swaminarayan spread the message of universal welfare. In honor of this occasion, the Indian government has released a special postal stamp of Vadtal’s Golden Temple, symbolizing the spread of this message of peace worldwide.
The unveiling of the postal stamp was conducted by Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Other prominent attendees included Kheda MP Devusinh Chauhan, MLAs Pankaj Desai, Kalpesh Parmar, Sanjay Mahida, and Rajendrasinh Zala. Esteemed saints, including Acharya Maharaj Shri Rakeshprasadji Maharaj, also expressed their blessings for the occasion.
Dr. Santvallabh Swami, the chief Kothari of Vadtal Temple, stated that this stamp is not merely a postal mark but a message of universal welfare from the birthplace of the sacred Shikshapatri, as blessed by Lord Swaminarayan.
Chief Minister’s Message
During the event, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel remembered India’s first Home Minister, Sardar Patel, and shared, “If every individual follows the teachings of the Shikshapatri, the need for policing would reduce, making it easier to maintain law and order.”
