Three families from Vadodara, Jamnagar, and Maharashtra were presented with four orphaned children for pre-adoption nurturing by District Collector Dr. Saurabh Pardhi, creating a festive atmosphere in these families ahead of Diwali.
Among the four children sheltered at the Katargam Orphanage – V.R. Popawala Children Home, two are siblings aged 6 and 4. These two children were entrusted to a couple from Vadodara, a 4-year-old to a couple from Jamnagar, and a 2.5-year-old to a couple from Kalyan in Maharashtra as per the Adoption Regulation-2022.
Joyful scenes were witnessed at the Surat Collectorate, where Diwali celebrations took place with these families ahead of the festival. The Collector extended good wishes to the couples wishing to adopt for the bright future of the children. Under the guidance of Social Security Officer Mr. Jignesh Chaudhari, Child Protection Officer Mr. Vijay Parmar and the office team successfully completed the entire process.
