Apple Unveils New Business Caller ID Service to Combat Spam Calls

Apple is reportedly launching a new caller ID service, likely called “Business Caller ID,” designed to help users block spam calls more effectively. This service will allow businesses to register by providing their department, name, and logo, enabling consumers to easily identify legitimate calls from businesses.

David Dorn, Apple’s Senior Director of Internet Software and Services Product, commented, “We designed Business Connect to empower businesses to present the best, most accurate information to Apple users. With today’s updates, we’re helping even more businesses reach customers, build trust, and grow.”

Through Apple Business Connect, businesses will gain better control over their visibility across the Apple ecosystem, including platforms like Apple Maps, Messages, Siri, and Wallet. Apple stated that companies of any size can register on the platform using an existing Apple ID or by creating a new one for free, making their details accessible to billions of Apple device users.

The service is available to both physical and online businesses, allowing them to create a unique online presence. This enables consumers to recognize their identity during calls or promotional emails, and in select markets, the same information will be linked with Apple Pay.
