Apple to Open Its Third Retail Store in India: Bengaluru’s Hebbal Outlet to Launch on September 2 with Culture-Inspired Design

Global tech giant Apple is all set to open its third retail store in India, strengthening its presence in one of the company’s most promising markets. The new store, named Apple Hebbal, will officially open its doors to customers on September 2, 2025, in Bengaluru. This will mark another major milestone for Apple after launching its first two flagship stores in Mumbai and Delhi. According to the company, the design and visual appeal of the Apple Hebbal store have been carefully curated to reflect and celebrate Indian culture. The façade of the store incorporates peacock-feather-inspired artwork, symbolizing India’s national bird and its cultural pride.

Inside the store, customers will experience a wide range of Apple products, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, and AirPods. Visitors will not only be able to see and test devices but also receive personalized guidance from Apple’s trained team of experts. The staff will assist buyers in selecting the most suitable products based on their individual needs and lifestyle, ensuring a customer-first shopping experience. Additionally, the store will provide access to Apple’s popular Pickup service, which allows customers to order products online and conveniently collect them at the physical location. Apple will also integrate its Trade-In program, giving customers the option to exchange old devices for credit toward new Apple products, further boosting accessibility and affordability.

The store’s design goes beyond retail, aiming to create a cultural connection. Inspired by traditional Indian aesthetics, Apple Hebbal highlights artistic themes that resonate with Bengaluru’s dynamic identity. One of the most striking elements is the peacock feather artwork, which adorns the outer structure of the building. This design not only adds vibrancy but also symbolizes elegance, pride, and creativity, values that align with Apple’s global brand image. Apple has also announced that the new store will host Today at Apple sessions, free interactive workshops led by Apple creatives. These sessions will cover diverse themes such as digital art, music, photography, storytelling, coding, and productivity. They are designed for both beginners and advanced users who want to learn new skills and make the most out of their Apple devices. Customers will also have access to special Hebbal-themed wallpapers and a Bengaluru-inspired Apple Music playlist, which Apple has released ahead of the grand opening. These additions aim to bring a localized flavor to the customer experience and connect the brand more closely with the local audience.

Bengaluru has become Apple’s second-largest operational hub outside California, highlighting the city’s growing importance in the company’s global strategy. Recently, Apple leased 2.7 lakh square feet of office space at Embassy Zenith on Sankey Road in North Bengaluru, with a lock-in period of 10 years, at a deal worth ₹1,010 crore. This expansion reflects Apple’s long-term commitment to India not only as a retail market but also as a center for innovation and operations. Apple’s growing footprint in India also aligns with the government’s push for domestic manufacturing. Reports suggest that all models of the upcoming iPhone 17 series will be manufactured in India, particularly in factories located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, under Tata Group, and in Foxconn’s facility near Bengaluru. Apple CEO Tim Cook recently revealed that in June 2025, a majority of iPhones sold in the United States were produced in India, marking a historic shift in Apple’s supply chain strategy.

The opening of Apple Hebbal is not just about another retail outlet; it is about shaping an ecosystem of innovation, customer engagement, and cultural relevance in India. With its massive operational center in Bengaluru, localized initiatives, and focus on manufacturing, Apple is positioning India as a critical pillar for its future growth. As customers eagerly await the September 2 opening, the store is expected to witness huge footfall, especially given Bengaluru’s reputation as India’s technology capital. The combination of product variety, expert guidance, cultural design, and interactive workshops is likely to make Apple Hebbal a flagship destination for tech enthusiasts and creative professionals alike.
